President Trump came into office promising to drain the swamp.
Washington DC should have taken Trump seriously and literally.
That’s because Trump just made one bold move that scared the hell out of the deep state.
Trump stunned the political world when he named Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency and Chairman of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, Bill Pulte, as the new Acting Director of National Intelligence to replace Tulsi Gabbard.
“I am appointing the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency and Chairman of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, William J. Pulte, to serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence. William has deep experience managing the most sensitive matters in America, the safety and soundness of the Markets, and over 10 Trillion Dollars at Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, a substantial increase from where it was just 12 months ago. During this period, he will remain Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency and Chairman of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Gabbard resigned due to doctors diagnosing her husband with a rare bone cancer.
During her time in office, Gabbard declassified documents showing that Barack Obama ordered the Russia collusion hoax and that Ukrainians funneled American taxpayer money into Joe Biden’s re-election campaign.
The deep state breathed a sigh of relief at Gabbard’s leaving, thinking they were now safe from Trump’s axe.
But the relief didn’t last long.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, President Trump revealed he ordered Pulte to carry out mass firings of deep state bureaucrats while he served as Acting Director of National Intelligence.
“I’d like to see it smaller. I think there are a lot of people in there that shouldn’t be there,” Trump pointed out.
Trump pointed to his executive order chopping down the size of the Department of Education as the example he would like to see Pulte follow.
“We’ve made the Department of Education much smaller, and likewise, this should be much smaller,” Trump added. “And this should maybe even be terminated, and we’ll make that decision.”
Trump explained that, as acting director, he plans to name someone else to serve full-time in the role, which would allow for a freer hand in slashing the size of the bureaucracy.
“You’re less shackled,” Trump added. “It sort of gives you more power, you know, for a somewhat limited period of time.”
“Frankly, it might be good for him to shake it up before people come,” Trump concluded. “Because, if he reduced the size, in conjunction with me…and in conjunction with possibly the person coming in…he can do a lot of the hard work and we wouldn’t have to saddle somebody that goes in.”
The deep state ran the Ukraine impeachment hoax through the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in Trump’s first term/
Tulsi Gabbard exposed the deep state’s secrets during her time in the job.
And now Trump tasked Pulte with cleaning out the Obama and Biden holdovers to prevent a repeat of the Ukraine impeachment coup attempt.
