Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is mapping out her 2028 plans.
But someone already has a good idea about what she is up to.
And JD Vance made one nightmare prediction about AOC that will scare the hell out of you.
One of the biggest parlor games in Washington right now is trying to guess if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will run for President or challenge Chuck Schumer in a primary when 2028 rolls around.
The recent primary wins by Democratic Socialists of America candidates in congressional primaries show the energy on the left resides with the Ocasio-Cortez wing of the party.
That means the field is wide open for whatever she decides.
Vice President Vance knows which path Ocasio-Cortez is going to choose.
And that is running for President.
The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles asked Vance about the conventional wisdom that Newsom is the Democrat Party’s 2028 frontrunner.
Vance predicted AOC would be the nominee and said Newsom damaged himself with black voters, the Democrat Party’s core constituency, when Newsom called them stupid.
“No, no, I don’t buy that. I think he hurt himself with his comment to an audience full of Black Americans that ‘I’m low IQ, just like you’. That’s Sort of bad in a couple of different ways,” Vance stated.
Vance was referring to Newsom’s comments before a black audience, where he said his background was just like theirs because he bombed his SATs.
“I’m not trying to impress you. I’m just trying to impress upon you. I’m like you,” Newsom stated. “I’m no better than you, you know; I’m a 960 SAT guy … you’ve never seen me read a speech, because I can’t read a speech.”
Newsom burst out to the front of the pack in 2025 by declaring total war on Trump.
But over the last year, Newsom’s lost altitude as black voters shifted back to Kamala Harris.
However, Kamala is the type of establishment figure that Democratic Socialists like Ocasio-Cortez have been routing in Congressional primaries this cycle, which has many observers – like Vance – thinking the socialist wing of the Democratic Party will pick the next nominee.
Reporters asked AOC what she thought of Vance’s prediction that she would emerge as the Democratic nominee in 2028.
“JD Vance said he thinks you’ll be the leading Democratic candidate for president in 2028. What’s your response?” the reporter wondered.
“I hope he is,” Ocasio-Cortez fired back.
