Trump Just Said Two Words to CNN That No One Ever Thought They Would Hear

CNN spent the better part of a decade trying to end President Trump’s career with lies, hoaxes, and conspiracy theories.

But Trump turned the tables on CNN in a major way.

And Trump just said two words to CNN that no one ever thought they would hear.

Trump normally taunts CNN and the rest of the fake news media as part of his stump speech at his signature rallies.

At one event in Clarksville, Tennessee, Trump found a clip of CNN praising him.

Trump told the crowd to watch the video board as his team aired footage of CNN data guru Harry Enten walking viewers through polling numbers showing Trump was as popular as ever with the Make America Great Again (MAGA) base.

“Of all groups, from CNN, can you believe that?” Trump exclaimed.

The video showed Enten explaining that Trump was at 99% approval with MAGA in 2024, and that number was 98% in 2026.

“That support is really holding up strong,” Enten stated. “It’s really, really strong.”

“Thank you, CNN!” Trump declared, uttering a phrase no one in this universe ever thought they would hear him say.

Trump then implored the crowd to ignore polls that “fake news media” seized upon to create a narrative of an impending blue tsunami as they were “trying to demoralize Republican voters with bad journalism and rigged polls.”

Trump’s new press secretary Katie Zacharia took the same message to Fox News, saying she didn’t believe the polls for one second.

“President Trump has made the case and delivered historic results. I would have loved to have seen more from our congressional Republicans in the Senate. I think President Trump has done everything in his power to do that. Look, I don’t know how much I believe all of the polling numbers,” Zacharia remarked.

Even Democrats and their fake news media allies are beginning to worry about the accuracy of the polls.

The Atlantic’s Marc Novicoff explained that after pollsters missed Trump’s win in 2016, the industry tweaked its methodology to weight for education.

That produced an even bigger polling miss in 2020.

A second alteration to polling methodology, which weighted voters by who they recalled voting for in the previous election, produced yet another polling miss ahead of 2024.

And a polling miss like 2016, 2020, or 2024 spells doom for Democrats.

“A systematic polling error on the level of 2016 or 2024 would mean that Democrats fall short of Senate control. If the polls overestimate their chances by exactly three points in every state, then Democrats will barely win Alaska, Texas, Michigan, and Ohio, but they won’t pick up Kansas or Iowa or Maine, and they’ll lose Minnesota,” Novicoff wrote.

“The Senate would then be 50–50, Vice President Vance would be the tiebreaker, and dreams of a Democratic Senate would stay dreams. A 2020-level miss would be even worse for Democrats: They’d gain no Senate seats at all on net. Democrats would still take back the House, but much more narrowly,” Novicoff added.
