White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is used to jousting with the liberal media.

And there is no more Trump-hating outlet than CNN.

And Karoline Leavitt obliterated a CNN ambush by dropping this devastating truth nuke.

For the first time in his 6 years as President, Donald Trump attended the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) Dinner.

The WHCA, ironically called “nerd prom” as the late Rush Limbaugh used to say politics is show business for ugly people,  is where fake news journalists hobnob with celebrities and venerate themselves for their supposedly indispensable contributions to American democracy.

At the WHCA, the President roasts the press, and a comedian jabs at the President and the press.

The WHCA Dinner took on new meaning in the Trump era as Trump Deranged journalists turned the dinner into a celebration of their “resistance” to Trump after Trump slammed the Democrat aligned media as “fake news.”

CNN’s left-wing activist asked Karoline Leavitt if Trump was attending the dinner meant he was ready to admit he was wrong about the media acting as the opposition to his administration.

“So I know you say he’s very accessible, but so often he tries to demonize the press,” Stelter asked. “Is he coming here tonight, admitting that the free press is an important part of the country and that actually he’s conceding that by showing up for the first time?”

Leavitt didn’t accept the premise of Stelter’s question and reminded Stelter that Trump was the most accessible President in history, and left unsaid was that Stelter was one of the journalists who ran cover for Joe Biden’s handlers, covering up the fact that Biden was senile while President, which is why he rarely held press conferences or events where he would speak off the cuff.

“Well, of course, he believes that. That’s why he talks to journalists personally. Half of this room will have his personal phone number and have spoken to him,” Leavitt said before adding. “He takes their calls, he answers their questions, and he tussles back and forth, too. I think he likes to hold people accountable. You’ll see a mix of both of those tonight. It’s going to be great. It will be fun, and we’re happy to be here.”

The event was then marred as a gunman tried to storm the ballroom where Trump sat at the head dais.

Secret Service took down the gunman as Trump and stunned attendees heard shots ring out.

The Secret Service thankfully then took Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and other Trump cabinet members to safety, and no one was injured.
