President Trump believes he was elected to fix problems past Presidents ignored.

All hell is breaking loose now that Trump is following through.

And Trump signed one legal document that ended this American nightmare.

Beef cost $6.68 per pound when Joe Biden took office.

In 2026, beef costs $8.74 per pound.

Beef prices skyrocketed due to a drought that thinned the American cattle herd, and it takes several years for calves to grow up and replenish the stock.

In an effort to lower prices for Americans, Trump signed an executive order lifting 25% tariffs on foreign beef and planned to import 300,000 pounds of meat from Argentina and Uruguay.

American ranchers and farmers pushed back, saying improving foreign beef wouldn’t do much to lower prices and would hurt their business.

Trump listened and reversed course.

In a bombshell post on Truth Social, Trump announced he was signing an executive order to break up the monopoly that the four big meat processors – Cargill, Tyson Foods, JBS USA, and National Beef Packing Co – and allow farmers and ranchers to process their own meat, which will open up competition, benefit ranchers, and lower prices.

“Ranchers and Farmers have always been a number one priority for me. They work very hard, are smart, efficient, and immaculately CLEAN, but for years I have heard that they have had a tremendous problem with the Big Processors, who many say are a nasty Monopoly. There are, essentially, 4 of them, a very non-competitive number, and they make life miserable for our wonderful Farmers and Ranchers, and I can’t let that happen, can I? So, in order to break this powerful monopoly, with much of its ownership based outside of the U.S., I am authorizing legal documents to be drawn in order to allow Farmers and Ranchers to be given the right to PROCESS THEIR OWN FOOD. This should move quickly. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP” Trump wrote.

The inciting incident for Trump’s executive order came in an interview with radio host Glenn Beck.

Beck asked Trump about the high price of beef.

“I inherited high prices… and we’ve really gotten them down,” Trump stated.

Beck then told Trump he was a rancher and told him regulations were strangling the ability to produce beef,

“I run a ranch, so I know what it’s like, and I’m telling you, it is the processing plants,” Beck stated, adding that the big 4 plants that process beef are “not even American” and that they are conspiring to raise prices on Americans.

“Help us, help us!” Beck pleaded. “It’s so we can’t… butcher with all of the federal regulations. It is really hard, you know. If there’s something you can do to help.”

Trump was intrigued and wondered if cutting the red tape would really make a difference.

“You’re saying, with less regulation, you think that the ranchers and farmers would do a very good job of processing the beef?” Trump wondered.
