And a smoking-gun document revealed this Democrat sex scandal as something even worse.
Just the News obtained bombshell FBI memos from the investigation into disgraced former Congressman Eric Swalwell and his sexual relationship with suspected Chinese spy Fang Fang.
The memos contained political dynamite about Fang Fang’s links to Communist China’s intelligence service and how she may have compromised Swalwell through illegal campaign contributions and sex.
Just the News reported that “The FBI developed evidence that a Chinese woman with direct ties to that country’s intelligence service had potentially compromised a Democratic congressman from California with sex, foreign interns and illicit donations while she was being recruited to become a bureau informant a decade ago, according to bombshell memos that expose another threat to America’s political system from Beijing.”
The FBI opened the probe on March 17, 2014, and codenamed it “Freshman Fifteen.”
Memo showed the FBI collected evidence of Fang Fang attempting to funnel interns into Swalwell’s office and disguise illegal foreign campaign contributions.
“Investigation has revealed Fang ‘Christine’ Fang, a Chinese foreign national residing in the United States, is the facilitator of a scheme to trade access to Swalwell and internships in his congressional office in return for campaign contributions […]” the memo stated adding that The FBI gathere proof that Fang “used conduits to conceal herself as a prohibited Foreign National source,” for illegal campaign contributions “at least twice in 2013 and at least two more times in 2014.”
The way the scheme worked was that Fang Fang would recruit Americans to make straw campaign contributions to Swalwell on her behalf.
“In March 2015, Fang contacted an individual who was also an FBI Confidential Human Source (CHS). She asked the CHS to attend a fundraising event for Swalwell and solicited a contribution,” the memo read.
Fang Fang also plotted to place interns in Swalwell’s office using her connections in the Asian Pacific Islander community since that was a large constituency in Swalwell’s district.
“FANG was unique when it came to interns, because SWALWELL saw FANG as connected to the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Associations (APAPA) and [redacted],” a summary of a 2016 FBI interview with Swalwell read.
“SWALWELL viewed anyone that FANG put forward for an internship as coming from APAPA,” the memo went on to say. “A significant portion of SWALWELL’s constituents are Chinese American, and diversity is important.”
The FBI eventually dropped Swalwell as a subject of the investigation in 2017 and focused on Fang Fang’s violations of campaign finance law.
“In a closing memo, the FBI noted that its agents found evidence Fang violated several criminal laws related to the illegal donations, including prohibited contributions in the name of another, in excess of statutory limits, and from a foreign national, falsifying and destroying records, engaging in a false statements scheme, engaging in a false writing scheme, international bulk cash smuggling, and acting as an unregistered foreign agent. The memo also noted that Fang had fled and was barred from re-entry by the State Department,” Just the News reported,
The FBI also documented that Fang Fang’s parents were “known MSS intelligence officers.”
“In addition, [Rusty Thumb] professed to know people of influence within the PRC,” a memo stated. “Given RT’s apparent connections with MSS personnel and the PRC government, coupled with her continuing contact with U.S. and local government officials, RT may be able to report on MSS influence campaigns directed at the U.S. government.”
Eric Swalwell was one of the leading Russia collusion hoaxers, regularly appearing on CNN and MSNBC to smear President Trump as a Russian asset, all the while the FBI was gathering evidence that he was in a sexual relationship with a Chinese spy who potentially could have compromised him.
