Barack Obama and other Democrats understood they couldn’t outright impose socialism on America.
Instead, they invented a climate change crisis to serve as a Trojan horse to stealthily force socialism on America under the guise of saving the planet from environmental catastrophe.
In 2009, Obama and his underlings rammed through what is known as the “endangerment finding, which claimed six greenhouse gases were a threat to life on Earth.
Fox News reported that Donald Trump is set to roll back this regulatory scheme that allowed the Obama administration to drive up prices in America by raising fuel standards and limiting power plant emissions.
“The 2009 ‘endangerment finding” identifies six greenhouse gases that the Obama administration said pose “a threat to public health and welfare.” That harm finding was then used to justify sweeping climate regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), such as raising fuel economy standards and limiting power plant emissions,” Fox News reported.
Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lee Zeldin argued that Democrats “created this endangerment finding and then they can put all these regulations on vehicles, on airplanes, on stationary sources, to basically regulate out of existence… segments of our economy,″ Zeldin said when he announced a proposed rule to eliminate climate change regulatory schemes. ”And it cost Americans a lot of money.”
Democrats want to obliterate fossil fuels out of existence to force Americans into accepting more expensive and less efficient so-called “renewable” energy sources like solar and windmills.
But limiting American energy consumption limits Americans’ choices, from how they live to what they eat to their ability to travel.
In other words, controlling energy sources allows Democrats to control Americans’ lives.
Energy Secretary Doug Burgum explained that the Trump administration’s goal was to expand energy production to drive down the cost of living and promote freedom.
“More energy drives human flourishing,” Interior Secretary Doug Burgum told the Wall Street Journal. “Energy abundance is the thing that we have to focus on, not regulating certain forms of energy out.”
Democrats and the media engaged in climate change hysteria dating back to the 1970s and falsehoods about global cooling.
Al Gore and John Kerry offered up doomsday predictions about melting Arctic ice, none of which came true.
The Trump administration is now rolling back a climate change regulatory regime whose real purpose was to force government control over the energy sector and, by extension, the American people’s lives.
