Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is looking over his shoulder.

There is a good reason for his paranoia.

And now Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has Chuck Schumer running scared with one demand.

Three Zohran Mamdani-endorsed candidates sweeping Democratic Congressional primaries in New York made one fact abundantly clear.

And that is that the Democratic Party is now fully in the grasp of its socialist base.

The win by Darializa Avila Chevalier symbolized this new reality.

Chevalier declared her support for the central Marxist tenet of “seizing the means of production,” ending all deportations for illegal aliens, including illegal aliens, and eliminating all prisons and police.

Primaries are where voters declare which direction they want a party to head.

The results of the primaries in New York focused renewed attention on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s future.

In many ways, Ocasio-Cortez’s 2018 primary victory over Joe Crowley, the number four Democrat in the House and the most likely at the time to succeed Nancy Pelosi as Democratic leader in the House, served as the canary in the coal mine for the rise of Mamdani and Third World Marxism inside the Democratic Party.

Ocasio-Cortez is reportedly debating whether to run for President or challenge Chuck Schumer in a 2028 primary.

The results in New York showed Schumer is a dead man walking if Ocasio-Cortez decides to challenge him.

Ocasio-Cortez showed she knew that was the case when she told reporters the results in New York revealed Democratic voters’ anger and impatience with the party’s current leadership.

“I think the Democratic electorate, voters in general, are looking for a change. They are seeing that progress has not happened in ways that meet the challenges. You are going to see people voting for new leadership for representation,” Ocasio-Cortez stated.

A reporter then asked the most blindingly obvious question in history.

“Do you think voters were sending a message to party leaders about the direction they want to see the party go?” the reporter wondered.

That allowed Ocasio-Cortez to dress up Democrats voting for straight-up Marxists as a demand for economic change while then listing off the socialist policies she would like to see Democrats impose on America.

“I think that what we are seeing in a lot of these races, they want- I think- they are selecting representation that is fighting for their economic interest for a change. It’s not just about personality; this is about policy. They are reaching for clarity in our goals: guaranteed healthcare, living wages, unionizing, etc.,” Ocasio-Cortez replied.

The New York primaries laid bare for everyone to see that the Democratic Party is the party of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

It’s now up to her to decide how to harness that energy to shape her career path.

And no one is more nervous about her eventual decision than Chuck Schumer.
