Donald Trump Jr. Took the Gloves off When Ted Cruz Picked This Fight With MAGA

Texas Senator Ted Cruz is eying a 2028 Presidential run.

But to win the White House, Cruz needs to go through MAGA.

And Donald Trump Jr. took the gloves off when Ted Cruz picked this fight with MAGA.

Ted Cruz was among the many establishment Republicans and neoconservatives fuming over President Trump dismissing their calls for a ground invasion of Iran to effect regime change.

Instead, Trump stuck to his America First foreign policy and inked a deal where Iran agreed not to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Critics like Cruz unleashed a torrent of smears and falsehoods about the deal.

Cruz’s status as a potential challenger to Vice President Vance in the 2028 election drew the ire of Donald Trump Jr., who called out Cruz for lying about the deal in an interview with the Daily Wire.

“The only problem with this quote is that @tedcruz is lying through his teeth about the deal,” Trump Jr. posted on X. “We’re not giving them a cent, and he knows that. Using fake news about the peace deal to undermine @realDonaldTrump is the opposite of MAGA.”

In the interview with the pro-war and pro-Israel Daily Wire, Cruz falsely claimed America rewarded Iran financially with a massive cash windfall.

“It has also been discussed that the financial reward could be $300 billion to the Ayatollah. If that is true, that would be three times more than the money Joe Biden and Kamala Harris funneled to the Ayatollah. It is a virtual certainty that if $300 billion went to the Ayatollah, that money would be used to murder Americans,” Cruz began.

“I’ll also say the idea that we should want a Marshall Plan for Iran to come in and rebuild Iran like the United States did for Europe after World War II makes no sense whatsoever.” Cruz added, “It is not remotely in America’s interest for us to pay to rebuild that capacity that we just took out.

The $300 billion Cruz is an investment fund drawing money from other Gulf nations like Qatar, UAE, and Oman to rebuild Iran’s infrastructure following the war.

But Iran doesn’t automatically get access to this investment.

Rather, the fund is leveraged over Iran since the other Gulf nations will only move forward if Iran complies with the deal and dismantles its nuclear program and destroys its highly enriched uranium.

Top Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz also noted that the loudest voices attacking the deal were either influencers paid by a foreign country or, like Cruz, who held White House aspirations and were funded by Never Trumpers hoping 2028 is when they can finally expunge MAGA from the GOP coalition.

“Many of the ‘influencers’ and ‘anonymous’ accounts trashing President Trump’s & @JDVance’s efforts to reach a peace deal are being bankrolled by foreign countries who want prolonged conflict, others are bankrolled by those vying to run against MAGA in the Republican Presidential primary in 2028, and then some of the others are just flat out dumb,” Bruesewitz posted on X.
